8th International Conference Comparative Media Studies in Today s World

November 12, 2019

We are glad to invite you to submit to the 8th International Conference 'Comparative Media Studies in Today's World'! We will be happy to see you in St.Petersburg, Russia, on April 21 to 23, to discuss the theme 'Back to context? Media and communication studies between big data and contextual meanings'.

Our excellent panel of agreed keynote speakers includes Mark Deuze (the Netherlands), Claudia Mellado (Chile), Mark Graham (UK), Kai Hafez (Germany), and Natalia Zubarevich (Russia), among others.

Our publishing opportunities are very appealing. The first is a collection of papers in the Routledge Advances in Internationalizing Media Studies book series (SCOPUS, high-ranked). The second one is the chance for the best paper on digital journalism and online media to be submitted under editorial guidance to Digital Journalism (SCOPUS Q1). Also, the editorial office may consider doing a thematic issue with us if there is substantial number of good papers.

The deadline for submissions is January 15, 2019. The submissions are to be done via EasyChair; the link will be available at cmstw2020.org after November 15, 2018. Please follow us! And please feel free to distribute the call among the interested colleagues - we will be grateful if you do so.
